It's also a fantastic way to cultivate feelings of joy and gratitude in the run-up to the vacations. It's also a great way to share joy with others in your life.
This 59-page PDF download with links you can click to access the MP3 files contains tablature for 32 different versions of 28 different characters. This book contains enough easy songs to get you playing kalimba Christmas music right away, and enough complex songs to keep learning and playing carols every vacation season for years to come!
By the way, if you have a new 17-note kalimba set to C, this download is not for you. Instead, search for "17-note kalimba set to C."
I invite you to consult the table of contents of the Treble Easy Christmas Carols download:
This ebook contains songs that cover a variety of skill levels. Almost everyone should be able to sit down with this download and play level 1 songs in their triple kalimba today. Level 2 songs should be available to most readers after a few days of reading.
Level 1 and Level 2 songs are fairly straightforward and help you develop the skills needed to perform Level 3 songs, consisting of both melody and full chords, which should be your goal after a few weeks of playing. The few songs in Level 4 have counterpoint, meaning two different melodies at the same time, which is complicated and can reach this point after weeks or months of reproduction.
Example of kalimba Christmas music
Here's the tablature for the first page of "O Come All Ye Faithful". This song is typical of "Level 2" songs, as it has a melody and, in some places, a single harmony note. If you have the PDF file, you can click on the "sound icon", that pretty note symbol surrounded by the green flashing sound in the top left-hand corner, and your web browser will be forced to play the MP3 file Explains exactly how this tablature should sound.
By the way, we've just published four very similar books of Christmas kalimba music. They are for the 10-note Kalimba in C, the 17-note Kalimba in C, the Hugh Tracey Alto Kalimba and the Hugh Tracey Triple Kalimba (this book). Each of these Kalimbas will have somewhat different arrangements for several of these carols, and each download is accompanied by instructional sound recordings in the appropriate Kalimba.
In other words, for the first time ever, the world's four most popular types of Kalimba each have their own collection of beautiful, high-performance kalimba Christmas music.
Merry Christmas indeed!
